Gym regular. Big nerd. Big heart.

I like to think that “I’m not like the other therapists”. One minute, we’ll be talking about the newest Zelda game - and the next, we’ll be delving into childhood trauma. Officially, I identify as an “existential humanistic counselor”, because I believe in the good in everyone as well as the deeper meaning to each and every one of our insecurities. But therapy is about building a trusting relationship where we can have those deeper moments, and sometimes that means talking about how excited you are about that new workout plan you wrote up yourself.

I started my own practice because I believe it is so important that boys and men get guy-smart therapy. Research shows that boys sometimes bond better through shared activities as opposed to direct conversation, or “side-by-side” as opposed to “face-to-face”. I want to respect and honor how each and every one of my clients wants to experience therapy, no matter their gender expression. The central driving force of my career, I like to describe, is “how do I help guys today grow into a healthy, masculine identity?”

I’ve spent a lot of my career working with kids as well as the adults who love them; you can tell because I know why “Ohio” is funny to them. Regardless of who you are or why you are seeking therapy at this time, I want you to know that therapist match really matters, and I would love to find out if this bisexual, weightlifting geek is a good match for you.

Now scheduling telehealth; in-person coming soon.
